- High load-carrying capacity alternative to anchor bolts
- Eliminates the need for 3" square plate washers for seismic design
- Code listed by ICC-ES under multiple IBC and IRC versions
- Tested to meet ICC-ES acceptance criteria AC-398 for cracked and uncracked concrete
- Designed for use on standard forms
Simpson MASA Applications
- Seismic design applications requiring high load capacity
- Replacement for traditional anchor bolts in construction
- Use in high seismic zones as an alternative to code-required anchor bolts and square washers
Simpson MASA Installation Overview
- Ensure concrete has a minimum f'c = 2500 psi
- Install MASA on the same side of the wall as uplift connectors for continuous load path
- Maintain minimum end distance of 4" and center-to-center spacing of 8" for full load
- Protect any exposed portion of the anchor against corrosion
