- Install nails with a powered nail tool, ensuring face protection.
- Adjust nail tool pressure to avoid overdriving nails.
- Install at least one 8d x 1 1/2" or 10d x 1 1/2" nail into each nailing grid.
- Follow the MMLU Installation and Load Table for additional nails.
- Ensure the MMLU height equals or exceeds 60% of the joist height for rotation resistance.
- Install I-joist web stiffeners or floor truss end vertical webs when necessary.
