- Place the standoff base and then the post in the ABU.
- Fasten the post using nails or Strong-Drive SD Connector screws or bolts.
- Adjust post placement and tighten the nut securely on the anchor bolt.

NOTE: This connector is designed for Rough Cut lumber NOT nominal lumber (most common). This will only fit a post that measures an actual 4x4". If you have a nominal post measuring 3-1/2x3-1/2" you will need an ABU44Z Post base.
