- Maintain a gap of 1/8" to 1/4" between carried and carrying members to prevent wood binding.
- Use fire sealant at the connection location for fire resistance.
- Predrill lead holes for SDS screws if necessary to prevent wood splitting.
- Rout carried and/or carrying members according to application needs.
- Install CBH plates using all specified SDS fasteners.
- Mate carried member to carrying member as per installation illustrations.
- Ensure glulam members are designed with appropriate tolerances for problem-free installation.
